The Québec City Convention Centre

The Québec City Convention Centre now offers to organize responsible waste-free and carbon-free events for its clientele. Starting in the spring of 2007, the convention will offer clients the possibility of compensating for the environmental footprint generated by their event through funds donated to the Fondation de la faune to undertake nature conservation projects in the Québec region or to purchase carbon credits.

This partnership allows the convention centre to step up action to bolster sustainable development while supporting the protection and development of wildlife habitat in the Québec region. The Québec City Convention Centre hosts 140 events for some 130,000 delegates per year.

Spin-offs for the Partner

Association with a credible conservation organization capable of investing income generated in concrete conservation projects for wildlife habitats in the Québec region.

Response to the growing concerns of responsible organizations that want to organize “green” conventions and compensate for effects to the environment caused by their event
